Everyone of like to look good and the biggest problem we face is right product for our skin, when we choose right product then it's out of budget. What to do? How to take care of your skin? DIY - do it yourself is here to make it happen.
Skin being the most important organ of our body and exposure to environmental conditions, stress, unhealthy practices takes a toll on this important organ.
Where to start if you care for your skin?
Start with knowing your skin type. Majorly, there are four types of skin.
1. Oily
2. Dry
3. Combination and
4. Normal
Follow these steps to know your skin type-
Step 1 - Wash your face with a gentle face wash or any DIY cleanser
Step 2 - Do not use any kind of product or DIY for an hour or more
Step 3- Dap a tissue paper on your face, especially to the T zone( Forehead, nose, region).
If the tissue paper appears to be sticky, then it's oily skin, if you find it sticky at the nose area and dry all around then it's combination skin, if you find nothing in the tissue paper then it normal and if you see your face too tight then it's dry.
Now you know your skin type, what's next? To follow a skin Regime for flawless skin.
Your skin must follow Cleansing, toning, moisturising, Exfoliating and Sun protection.
The above skin regime can be followed by easy DIY
1. Gramflour cleansing- Take a glass container and mix Gramflour and turmeric in 3:1 ratio respectively.
Keep it in an air tight container and apply twice to cleanse your face.
Gramflour has zinc that acts on infections on your skin.
It helps to control sebum production
It also helps in inflammation acne.
Turmeric is well known ancient use as antiseptic.
Pro tip - For dry skin mix yoghurt to this pack and wash is off on warm water then in cold water.
2. Dry yeast cleansing mask-
1tsp dry yeast mixed with 2tsp of warm milk and 1tsp of honey.
Dry yeast has cleansing properties and helps to clean deep pores.
Honey acts as anticeptic and moisturising agent.
3. Lemon and honey - Mix equal amounts of Lemon and honey. Apply the mixture to your face and massage.
Wash your face after ten minutes with warm water and then in cold water.
Lemon rich in antioxidants and vitamin C that helps to skin.
Honey acts as anticeptic, treats acne and cleansing property.
4. Grape cleanser - Take 6-7 grapes with seeds in a blender to juice it up. Mix one egg white and the juice of grape. Apply to your face with the help of face brush, keep it for 20 minutes. Wash it off with warm water and then in cold water.
Grapes contain phyto nutrients that helps to protect from harmful UV rays. Grapes also have Vitamin C that helps in boosting collagen.
Egg white acts to hold the pores firm and helps against ageing.
5. Apply oil to skin - It might be weird to apply oil to skin but it brings the benefits when applied right amount. Apply olive oil to your skin with your fingers and massage. Wash it off with warm water then in cold water.
Olive oil contains linoleic acid that helps in cleaning and rejuvenation your skin.
Ps:- Skin type differes individual to individual. Try to avoid if it irritates or causes redness.
